Project Description

Flights Above Fundraising Trailer

Flights Above will be a documentary film that follows the journey of California non-profit, SafeLaunch in an exploration of the realities of substance abuse in American youth. SafeLaunch, a California 501(c)3 non-profit was founded on the premise that addiction all too frequently begins in adolescence. This singular fact drives this non-profit educational organization on an aerial mission to raise awareness of the impact of drugs and alcohol on the emotional and intellectual development of teens.

In their outreach activities, the SafeLaunch team focuses upon the parents of pre-teens and young adolescents.  They leverage the compelling freedom found in private aviation to inspire aspirational thinking in these young people and their parents. In our film, Flights Above, which is currently in fundraising mode we intend to leverage the visual theme that aviation provides as a narrative device to thread together an engaging, cinematic story.

Additional information on SafeLaunch and the Flights Above film can be found here on the film’s website: http://www.flightsabovefilm.com/
